QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Will I ever be able to remember all those complicated moves?

When you first start it seems as though your arms and legs have a will of their own. However don't let that put you off, with a little perseverance and regular training you will remember

How long will I have to wait before I take my first belt?
Training twice a week you should be able to take your first belt about six weeks after your first lesson

Is it going to cost me a lot of money to get started?
There is an initial outlay, however the cost compares favourably with most sports and pastimes.  We offer discounts for families and individuals as well as discounts on equipment.

How often should I train?
Twice a week is better, although it is still possible to learn a great deal if you can only attend once a week

The lessons seem disciplined, is there a reason for this?
Yes, discipline helps to teach responsibility and respect for other people. We teach that Karate is about self-defence and not fighting

In what order are the colours of belts?
Starting with the lowest: Red, Yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, 1st brown, 2nd brown, 3rd brown, black
